Welcome to the NNI

National Network for Interpreting

Welcome to the NNI website, your first stop for information about interpreting, the skills involved, and how to go about pursuing an interpreting career. Our interactive section contains many resources, including the interpreting skills map. Find out what it takes to be a good interpreter and try out your own skills! There is also a wealth of additional information here, such as interviews with employers. Events are listed on the 'Students' tab, and links, reports from past events and videos of some of our excellent guest speakers can be found under 'For everyone'.

The NNI is part of the Routes into Languages project, and aims to raise awareness about careers with languages and interpreting in particular. See also the National Network for Translation. See the evaluators’ section to find out more about the project.
